I made the mistake of not reporting on it as soon as the man posted the video on YouTube, but evidently Lake James NC is a werewolf hot spot!  The individual posted a pretty-descent-cinematic video that mentioned the area as a hotspot, not only for Bigfoot, but werewolves too.  According to the report by this individual there have been over 600 werewolf sightings around Lake James NC. 

            The man in the video also spoke of the first werewolf report that occurred in the 1800’s by the Osbourne family that lived in the now flooded river valley at the bottom of Lake James.  Supposedly the young son was down by the river and did not return home in the evening.  A search of the area found the young boy’s body badly mutilated.

            Unfortunately, the guy took the video off YouTube after a couple of weeks, so I was unable to go back and watch the video and get the man’s name.  He even commented on the town of Marion wanting to do a werewolf festival, instead of the bigfoot festival.  But he said the town chose not to because it wouldn’t have been as popular as the bigfoot festival.

            If the mans claim can be substantiated by anyone, such as an eyewitness, don’t drink the water in the lake by accident, because a werewolf may have drunk from the lake, and according to lore, werewolfism is transmitted through water sources.  I would also advise anyone living around the lake to stockpile silver bullets.

            Most importantly, local residents, please remember to bring in your cats on full moon nights!!
